With the cold weather approaching, we’re all starting to wonder – what will we do this winter to maintain our health and our sanity? We’ve all had a very cloudy 8 (!!!) months but, within those clouds, there are a few silver linings. Here are a few winter activities we’re really looking forward to while we hunker down yet again:
Netflix and chill: If you’re anything like me, you felt guilty all summer for wanting to spend a day indoors binging your favorite new Netflix series. Well, we have good news. Now that it’s getting colder, you have license to watch as much TV as you want! Catch up on Emmy-award winner, Schitt’s Creek (the last season was just released on Netflix!), or try a new series. Right now we’re loving Emily in Paris.
Indoor workouts: After you’re done binging your favorite new series, it’ll be time to get moving a bit. Maddie Lymburner, known as MadFiton Youtube, is the queen of fun indoor workout videos. Her apartment friendly 15-minute dance party videos will make you forget you’re even working out.
Channeling our inner Julia Child: As we all hunker down this winter, unable to see big groups of friends and family, we are looking for ways to connect with each other while still being safe. Hone your skills and bake something you can give your loved ones. Our favorites have been pumpkin bread and apple spice muffins!
Staying comfy and cozy: The best part about WFH is getting to wear loungewear all day. What’s even better is the cozy loungewear you get to pull back out now that the weather is cooling down again. There’s nothing quite like watching the rain from the couch in warm sweats and fuzzy socks!
Clean up your routine: Most importantly, it’s time to start taking better care of yourself after months (and months) of stress! Winter is the perfect time to clean up your beauty routine and, while you’re at it, transition to aluminum-free deodorant in the comfort of your own home. Your body may need some time to detox after years of aluminum plugging up your sweat ducts but we’ve got just the over-achieving deodorant for you. Our sweat-activated deo is not only aluminum free, but it’s also free of parabens, phthalates and other known toxic ingredients. Added bonus: you can now find it easily at your local Meijer!
Although the weather is cooling down, that doesn’t mean that the fun has to end! Winter opens the door for all kinds of cozy activities and these are just a few of our favorite ways to relax and practice self care during these long, chilly months indoors.
